Snack Shack

PHS Boosters manages the snack shack at Witter Field with all profits going to the teams that staff the snack shack. PHS Boosters supplies all inventory so teams only need to supply volunteers to staff it. The profit at year end is divided by the number of events and share given to teams by the number of events each team staffed.

Staffing: There should be one adult for every student staffing the snack shack. For football games it is recommended that 2-4 people staff the JV games and 6 staff the Varsity game. Staffing games for other sports usually takes 2-4. Given the higher requirement for volunteers for football, staffing the JV and Varsity game will count as two events for profit splitting. This would work well for staffing by large teams or possibly two smaller teams combining together.

  • The Snack Shack coordinator is responsible for acquiring inventory and providing inventory for the snack shack.
  • Teams staff the Snack Shack at events but are not responsible for providing any inventory. After the game, teams turn in the proceeds and an updated inventory list to the Snack Shack coordinator.
  • Boosters pays for the inventory.
  • At the end of the year, Boosters divides the total profit evenly among the teams that staffed events. Pooling the profits in this way makes it equitable for all participating teams regardless what game was staffed or weather or any other circumstance that would make one evening more profitable than another.
