Team Liaison Responsibilities
The Team Liaison connects the team, the coach and the Boosters. The name and email address for each PHS team’s 2008-09 Boosters Liaison is listed on the PHS Boosters Board page.
The Team Liaison:
- Helps identify a team parent to assist with team logistics
The PHS Boosters liaison does not have to be the team parent - Encourages all team parents to join PHS Boosters to support the athletic program.
All sports get funds from the Athletic Department budget; some get funds directly from PHS Boosters through the grant process. All families should be encouraged to join. - If the coach identifies a funding need, the Team Liaison should assist as needed. In general, the coach would get the need filled via:
- the Athletic Department budget for that sport;
- a PHS Boosters grant; or
- team fund raising.
- If pursuing a PHS Boosters grant:
- the coach would fill out a grant request,
- get AD and PHS Principal endorsement; and
- the AD, with assistance of the team liaison, would present it to the PHS Boosters Board.
- If the team needs a coach, brings it to the attention of PHS Boosters
Boosters will assist the school in identifying coaching candidates. - Helps out at Booster events and fundraising efforts:
