Request a Grant

PHS Boosters Club makes grants supporting both specific teams and general athletics.

Team Grant Process

• The Athletic Directors set the basic operating budget, including monies for each sport. Starting in 2008-09, PUSD funds these basic expenditures
• If a team needs to spend money, the coach and the AD discuss whether funds are available from the Athletic Department budget for that sport.
• If the Athletic Department budget cannot cover the request, the team is encouraged to bring the request to PHS Boosters through its Team Liaison.
  • Submit a Grant Request Form [Word].
  • Include endorsement from both the Coach and the Athletic Director.
• Expenditures that cannot be covered by either the Athletic Department or Boosters are typically covered by team fund raising.

General Grant Process

PHS Boosters considers grants for projects that support athletic facilities or athletics across a number of sports.

• Submit a Grant Request Form [Word].
• Include endorsement of one of the PHS Athletic Directors and the PHS Principal.

Grant Approval

• Grants up to $1000 may be approved by the Executive Committee of the Board.
• Grants over that amount are reviewed by the entire Board.
